You should experience a small increase in lift. You will experience a stiffer ride too, due to the fact that the Ex's rear springs were designed for comfort, and not cargo. Adding the F-250 rear springs will stiffen your suspension because they were obviously designed for hauling.
May I add, that I have the Gen 4 Landyot Radius Rods on my Ex... They have been a GREAT addition to my Ex... I also recently added front & rear Hellwig sway bars too... these three additions have tightened up my handling in corners; I no longer experience the body roll at higher speeds.
These three additions will also help when it comes to towing anything heavy.
Best of luck...

My 3 1/2 FABTECH lift allowed for 295/70 R 18s tires... which translated are 34.5 inches... they experience a small amout of rub if I take the steering to max... left or right...
Best of luck w/ your Ex.... mine has been a labor of love.... trucked from WY to Vegas... in total comfort... and when we hit the hotel in Vegas... the Valet's were grinning ear to ear.... just dying to get behind the wheel... LOL... too bad though... I self parked... |

MountainWest,
Where did you find the Gen 4 Radius Rods? I have an 03 Excursion with a 4\\" lift and 35\\" tires and it floats all over the place. I am in desperate need of a set of the radius rods. I hear they stop all the floating. I can\\'t pull my trailer above 60 miles an hour because my truck is all over the road.
Thanks. |

Bradshaw13,
These Gen 4s will fix your floating problem. Ken is a total professional. I love the rock solid ride.

Thank you very much. I will email him now. One other question, did you change out the rear leaf springs or did you just use a block to lift yours? I was wondering if I get new 6" leafs and get rid of the blocks if that along with the radius rods will work best? Thanks again. |

My FabTach lift in the rear was blocks. Since I just went with 295/70 R18s Nitto Trail Grapplers (34.5 inches tall) I didn't need a whole lotta of lift. He will send you a small questionaire, where he asks about your lift size. That way, he knows how long to make the Raduis Rods. Ken had set in stock, so as soon as I paid (I used PayPal) he had them in the mail (UPS) to me. Mind you, he is just a guy like you and I, and makes these in his spare time, so he may or may not have a set in stock. But, he will get you a set made, and send them your way. As I have said before, he's a great guy.
Keep me in the loop... let me know how it goes...

Ken emailed me back and said he is no longer making the Radius Rods... Do you have any other suggestions? I don\\'t want to sell my truck but if it continues to float like it is , I\\'m going to have to buy an F350. Really don\\'t want to have to spend that money... |
